Road trip detour

Back in March, we ended up taking an impromptu trip down to San Diego.

Well Mr. Spontaneous had a little bit of spontaneity left inside as we drove down the freeway supposedly on our way home.  He turned down the music and asked Jenin, "do you want to see Belle?" 

I quickly punched him in the arm and told him not to tease her like that.  That's when he gave me a look that he was completely serious.  Typed in "Disneyland" into the GPS and we were on our way.

As we waited in line to see the Princesses Maysoon became incredibly irritated. Check out Jenin waiting patiently, a definite first.

As we were taking pictures with the Princesses, Snow White made a quick exit. Then another, and then the last one. None of which were Belle. The whole reason we came.  So what's a mother do to? I got right back in line.  As we waited our turn again, Rami called me on my cell to inform me that Belle had left! So we ended up sitting off to the side until Rami called me back to let me know that she had come back. 

Before you see the next pictures, you should know that Jenin refused to take any pictures the whole day. She was being incredibly difficult and kind of moody. So much for "the happiest place on earth".  But oh, the magic of a princess...

The newly renovated "It's a Small World" was amazing.  I wanted to ride it twice. So much to look at.  And glitter everywhere!!

Maysoon was not impressed.
