Less bling

If my best friend heard me say that, she'd disown me.  Me and her are such opposites. She's the Yin to my Yang. I think it's what makes our friendship so strong. We each see the other's life/projects/recipes with a different perspective and can be honest with each other.  Love you Nada!!

Summer 2008 we had gone to Disneyland when my oldest sister was in town visiting.  It was Jenin's first time but she was pretty young so I knew she wouldn't remember the trip.  However, I would, but the "my first visit" T-shirt wasn't going to cut it for me as a souvenir.  Luckily I spotted a little tiny shop that was doing silhouettes.  I had originally contacted Stephanie to do Jenin's silhouette for her first birthday but couldn't get a single shot of her profile because she would move around so much.  I should have known then that she was going to be a handful.

Jenin actually had a ponytail, not a bun.

So for $7 I got two separate images.  The woman was very quick and talented. The frames that they sold intended for the pictures were, well... not entirely my taste.  I was assured that the gold would eventually wear off.  That didn't happen so I took matters into my own hands.

Nothing a little spraypaint can't fix.  I tried painting over the "Disneyland" but the paint was washable craft paint. I'll eventually change that. Consider this my itty-bitty Better After.

Let's be honest, one of the rewards of blogging are the comments. So show me some love! (And I stress love .) M'kay, thanks!
