Tagged, Blog Awards, and Memes... Oh My!

I've been tagged! And I've been given my first award! And tagged again! Pretty exciting stuff for this little ol' blogger.

Me at home gave me this great award. I'm sincerely touched. It's always fun to find out I have new readers, so when I'm given an award by one that's the cherry on top.  Thank you!

I was tagged for the first time months ago by Sabi over at Oy, Habibti. That was in October. It's now February and I've been tagged again. I realized I should probably get started on the first one if I ever hoped to be tagged a third time.  Sabi, better late than never, right?

5 Random Things I Love:

1. Blue and green. I use those colors all over my house in practically every room.  Never been a huge fan of red.

2. Cooking.  I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm not very good but I love doing it.  I love trying new recipes and new foods. I actually don't mind standing in the kitchen all day trying out a new recipe.  I don't mind making mistakes because I can always learn from them and hopefully do better the next time.  It doesn't hurt that I love food either. It's so rewarding to make something that others enjoy and appreciate.

3. The Internet! My goodness, what's not to love? The whole world at my fingertips. Recipes, tutorials, new friends, instant answers, blogs, shopping! (I need help).

4. Dawn. There is nothing, and I mean nothing, more amazing than the scent of the earth so early in the morning. That clean, cold, crisp air is my favorite thing in the world.  You'd think with how much I loved it that I'd probably be awake more often to experience it.  I am not a morning person. I should work on that.

5. Morroccan/Arabesque Tile. So gorgeous. My dream bathroom is tiled like this.

7 Things About Yourself

1. I always make lists. Lists of things I need to do. Ideas I want to try. Foods I want to make. I always need to write things down in a list format. It makes me feel organized.

2. I'm most confident when I'm pregnant.

3. I'm ALWAYS hungry.

4. I'm a recovering pat rack.

5. I can go without television but not without the internet. (See above.)

6. I hope to one day become a really great photographer.

7. I was born and raised in California and don't ever see myself living elsewhere.
