When you tell her that she can, she'll want to wear an apron. Once it's on, she'll need a bow.
Then she will want to look in the mirror to make sure she looks adorable. While in the bathroom, she'll remember she needs the stool to reach the counter.
At the counter she'll reach for the utensils and want to mix everything. After she mixes, she most likely wants to taste.
She might get carried away washing the spoon and wash all of the dishes.
When she's done she'll probably want to take a nap. You'll have to take off her apron and bow so that she's comfortable. She'll want you to read her a story. Not an actual book, but one "bas haik" (Arabic 3 year old slang for "just like that").
You'll tell her the story of the little girl that did such a good job helping her mom prepare food that she ended up making the whole meal.
She'll get excited and want to draw a picture with a recipe. J: Shu kaman? What else? Me: Sukkar. Sugar. J: Shu kaman? What else?
Having "written" her recipe, it will remind her how much she enjoys cooking with her mama...so she'll ask for her apron.
And chances are if she's wearing her apron, she's going to want to pick something out from her cookbook.
She does dishes too? Mashallah, this girl rocks!!
ReplyDeleteI'll take those lips sitting on the counter in the last picture, baked please!
